the Eastwood Collieries’ Male
Voice Choir
This dynamic, forward-thinking
Male Voice Choir, is now in its
87th Year and is proud to boast
that we are one of the oldest surviving
Colliery Male Voice Choirs in the country,
proud of our heritage and bucking the
trend in male voice singing where others
are declining in numbers we are actually
attracting new members into the fold
and boast membership of nearly seventy
voices.
In 2006 the Eastwood
Collieries' Male Voice Choir helped local
and national charities and organisations
raise the combined total of nearly £550,000.00,
over £320,000.00 more than in 2005,
a figure which speaks more than words
itself.
As we enter into 2008
we hope to build on our vibrant past
with a view to making this year as successful
as our previous years and as memorable
as our vibrant past.
The Eastwood Collieries'
Male Voice Choir is now entering a new
era of development and there is a real
need to generate revenue beyond the staple
provision of membership income,with this
in mind the choir is actively seeking
'Sponsorship' to enable this dynamic
and forward-thinking choir to carry on
into the future raising monies for worthy
charities and organisations.
